The tongue can bring death or life; those who love to talk will reap the consequences. –Proverbs 18:21 NLT

Many times we find young people, most especially singles, praying for one thing in their closets but saying another thing among their family and friends. Life and romance doesn’t work like that. You can’t be praying one thing and saying another thing.

You are secretly praying for a spouse, but when people mention it, you claim you have no problem with being a single, and that you are not looking for a spouse. You pray to find a faithful spouse but go around saying all men are cheats and all women are lairs. Instead of speaking positivity into your romance, you go saying that “no man or woman can dare do this or that to me”. You can’t be praying one thing and saying another thing, it doesn’t work that way, nay, it doesn’t.

The tongue can bring death or life; those who love to talk will reap the consequences. –Proverbs 18:21 NLT

The consequences in the above scripture isn’t about negativity only;
You will reap what you say because what you say is what you sow.
I tell you the truth, you can say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen. But you must really believe it will happen and have no doubt in your heart (Mark 11:23 NLT).

While what you believe is important, what you say is more important.
Mind you, what you say isn’t what you say only in prayers or what you say “in Jesus name”. Remember when God told the Israelites this;
now tell them this: ‘As surely as I live, declares the Lord, I will do to you the very things I heard you say (Numbers 14:28 NLT).

The Spirit alone gives eternal life. Human effort accomplishes nothing. And the very words I have spoken to you are spirit and life (John 6:63 NLT). I know this post appears like a Bible Study Manual, well, maybe, just maybe. But this is what I want you to know right now. You may not want to believe it, whether or not you are born again, your words have power. Everything I said i would be at 25, I became. I was. So I am sure that when I am 30, I would be everything I am saying right now because I can see them already and I learned this from the power of curses and blessings.
It doesn’t make sense for you to be praying for one thing and saying another thing. That’s why I say some people are praying too much because instead of also talking and doing their prayers, they are talking and doing otherwise.

What do you say about your romantic life? Is it your fears or your dreams?

Some are very skilled in talking against what they don’t want in their relationship and marriage but they don’t say what they want. Instead of saying “I can’t marry a man that’s broke,” why not say “my man will be (is) rich”. Instead of always saying “I can’t marry a disrespectful lady”, why not say “my babe would be very respectful”? Why wire your head and mind only towards the negative when it takes the same process and rules to wire your mind with and for positivity? Yes, I would share some prayer points for you to pray on later but prayer makes no sense if your head, heart and mouth aren’t aligned together. Besides, the last time I checked, praying one thing and saying another thing is waste of time. And the last time I also checked, men and women aren’t the problem. You have always remained the problem. I usually don’t even like praying for people who say a loud amen to a prayer and prophecy but yet, go around saying the opposite.

Think. Relax. What is it that your friends have actually being hearing you say?
What is it that your family have been hearing you say? Be like God in your relationship; call the things that be not as though they were, already. Form, create your romantic world with your words. Instead of complaining and condemning, prophesy by talking positive. It’s not about being high on the Holy Ghost or being in your closet. It’s about talking positive everywhere, every time.

The tongue can bring death or life; those who love to talk will reap the consequences (Proverbs 18:21 NLT).

I love to talk and I love to talk life. So I will reap the consequences of talking life. By faith we understand that the entire universe was formed at God’s command, that what we now see did not come from anything that can be seen (Hebrews 11:3 NLT). (as it is written, “I have made you a father of many nations”) in the presence of Him whom he believed—God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did; (Romans 4:17 NKJV). So instead of focusing on what it is not or what you don’t want and like, spend the same energy saying what you want, calling the things that be not as though they were and you will see your romantic life change for good.

The man who finds a wife finds a treasure, and he receives favor from the Lord (Proverbs 18:22 NLT). So as a single dude, you can say to yourself “I am favoured of the Lord in Jesus; so I am able to find a wife and find treasures in the women around me. Married? You can say “I am favoured of the Lord and see and enjoy the treasures in my wife because I have received favour from the Lord in her”. Now to Him Who, by (in consequence of) the [action of His] power that is at work within us, is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly, far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams]– (Ephesians 3:20 AMPC). Are you a lady? Pray “God is giving me my heart desires regarding the type of man I want. He is even helping me form the proper, balanced and healthy desire of a man”.

Regarding your romantic and sexual life, you may choose to personalize these scriptures:

I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources God will empower me with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in my heart as I trust in him. My roots will grow down into God’s love and keep me strong. And I have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love for me is. I experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then I am made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God (Ephesians 3:16-19 NLT).

So I declare that I am able to understand God’s love for me and operate my romantic and sexual life from that knowledge standpoint. I don’t need another person to know how loved and loveable I am. I pray for myself constantly, asking God, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, to give me spiritual wisdom and insight so that I might grow in my knowledge of God. I pray that me heart will be flooded with light so that I can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called—his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance. I also pray that I will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for me who believes him. This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God’s right hand in the heavenly realms. Now he is far above any ruler or authority or power or leader or anything else—not only in this world but also in the world to come. God has put all things under the authority of Christ for me and has made him head over all things for the benefit of the church. And the church is his body which I am part of; it is made full and complete by Christ, who fills all things everywhere with himself (Ephesians 1:16-23 NLT).

I pray that my love for my partner and people will overflow more and more, and that I will keep on growing in knowledge and understanding. For I want to understand what really matters, so that I may live pure and blameless lives until the day of Christ’s return. May I always be filled with the fruit of my salvation—the righteous character produced in my life by Jesus Christ —for this will bring much glory and praise to God (Philippians 1:9-11 NLT).

I ask God to give me complete knowledge of his will and to give me spiritual wisdom and understanding. Then the way I live will always honor and please the Lord, and my life will produce every kind of good fruit. All the while, I will grow as I learn to know God better and better. I also pray that I will be strengthened with all his glorious power so I will have all the endurance and patience I need. May I be filled with joy, always thanking the Father. He has enabled me to share in the inheritance that belongs to his people, who live in the light. For he has rescued me from the kingdom of darkness and transferred me into the Kingdom of his dear Son, who purchased my freedom and forgave my sins (Colossians 1:9-14 NLT).

And may the Lord make my love and that of my partner and for all people grow and overflow, just as His love for me overflows. May he, as a result, make me heart and that of my partner strong, blameless, and holy as we stand before God our Father when our Lord Jesus comes again with all his holy people. Amen (1 Thessalonians 3:12-13 NLT).

So I pray God to enable me to live a life worthy of his call. May he give me the power to accomplish all the good things my faith prompts me to do (2 Thessalonians 1:11 NLT).

Now may the God of peace— who brought up from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great Shepherd of the sheep, and ratified an eternal covenant with his blood— may he equip me with all you need for doing His will. May he produce in me, through the power of Jesus Christ, every good thing that is pleasing to Him. All glory to him forever and ever! Amen (Hebrews 13:20-21 NLT)

Allow me pray for you now:

 I pray that God will give you the wisdom you need for your romantic and sexual life. And this same God who takes care of me supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19 NLT). I bless you all with every grace and anointing on me for the Alright’s Passion. Every promise that God has ever made to us, I activate it upon you in Jesus name. May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favour and give you peace in Jesus’ name.

It is your relationship with Jesus that makes your sex and romantic live sweet.

God bless Nigeria (good people, great nation). You rock!
